St. Francis Xavier School at 2 Xavier Circle, Birmingham, AL 35213 US - Development and Fundraising
| Development and Fundraising |
Development/Fundraiser During the school year Marie Hayes and the students joined the effort to protect and preserve the rainforest. Through that effort, the school donated $549.00 which allowed the purchase 15.7 acres of land in the Maya Mountain Marine Corridor in Contributions to the School Endowment are tax exempt and should be made out to St. Francis Xavier Church for the School Endowment. The income from the endowment will help us insure the future of the parochial school. Please keep the endowment in mind when requesting memorials. We conduct a number of school wide fundraisers throughout the year. (Please see our Parent Clubs, Home and School Association located on the Clubs and Organizations page for more details.) Students and their families become actively involved in raising money for identified needs. By collecting labels from Campbell Soup products, our school can obtain needed equipment for the school free of charge! The collection of these Box Tops resulted in funds used for updating the school in the area of technology. As a part of our environment program, we provide bins for recycling aluminum cans. Not only does this raise awareness of the need to take care of our environment, it aids in the fundraising efforts at the school.EARTH DAY
Since 1990, Earth's Birthday Project and The Nature Conservancy have been joined by thousands of students and teachers through which over 150,000 acres of endangered forests have been protected, preserving the homes of plants and animals. It has also empowered an entire generation of children to make a difference for our planet.
